These two droids are in the process of valmorphanizing, ultimately as well as safety this leads to combined data processing, allowing the the droids to burn toast and boil water far faster.

Quite a few sightings recently starting out with the all too common sight of a discarded CRT-based audio visual droid. This one is significant in that it has numerous video game motifs adorning it’s silver flanks.

Our Parisian correspondent has just sent us this via the under channel wire.  Typically the French’s gastronomic cravings mean 70% of all homeless droids in this nation are of the food processing and preparing variety. This poor unit must have found it’s way on to the cold street after being shown the door having just been replaced by a shiny new full-auto model, sacrebleu!

TT chips in with this combo droid sighting in North London. He wasn’t sure if the droids had fully valmorphanized, but it looked as is common with street droids that they had formed a symbiotic partnership, the bread burning droid providing the muscle and the sound processing droid the brains.

A great sighting here by Ed:
Here’s a colony of rescued droids who have regenerated into ‘leafy organism nurture units’ (LONUS), more commonly known as ‘plant pots’.
This is a great posting for the start of 2012 of humans using old droids in a good way!

The first droid spot of the New Year. This unit is a circa ‘97 portable sound droid. Compared to most homeless droids that find themselves on the street with in 5 years, this ones been in operation for some 15 years! The droids front plate has the letters aiwa written in lower case and looks to have had human modifications, such as the elastic band used to hold it’s physical media bay in place.

This last ones not something I’ve come across before, a droid using an abandoned animal skin for warmth. It’s most likely it’s internal ‘CORE’ processors have malfunctioned, the lack of heat resulting in the search for some sort of insulation from the bitter east London weather.
